Since his early start in 2011, we have been following the growing career of one of the UK’s greatest talents, as he’s worked with grime artist Wretch 32, and received 2 MOBO nominations among other career accolades. Over the last few years he has been wowing UK music scene with his insane musicianship and phenomenal songwriting. Alt-pop and R&B singer-songwriter/producer Shakka is now gearing up to release his forthcoming solo project, The Lost Boys EP. His most notable and recent body of work, and by far our favorite project from the rising artist, is his 2013 Tribe EP. This EP brought us incredible songs like “Spin” and “Just Want to See You”, and showcased the dynamic musician and artist that he truly is, while securing a promising future in the industry.
Fast forward to the present day, and the London native has now released a mixtape, and two new songs said to be featured on the The Lost Boys. The mixtape The Bootlegs, which feature [Shakka] remixed tracks of the UK’s rising stars like Jess Glyne and MNEK, is described as:
” From city where Women do not exist, and Music is forbidden by law, come The Bootlegs. These are the lost audio capsules that wash up on a distant Island, where Laila & Sisi Live. Laila has history with this city. From this discovery, she know’s something’s coming. So begins the story of The Lost Boys.”
The other two songs he’s released for The Lost Boys EP, “Say Nada” and “You Dunno What You Do To Me” are both massive cuts that reassure his fans that this project will be another one for the books. Check them out below and explore his Soundcloud page! You’ll be happy you did..
