Fresh off of producing the masterpiece that is Dawn Richard’s Goldenheart, friend of DopeAve and producer-turned-artist Druski (a.k.a. Drew Scott), is venturing into the realm of singing on his own. No Dawn, just Drew; who showcases his soulful vocals in a major way on songs like “Brooke Lynn,” which channels the hip hop/soul vibe of Musiq Soulchild, and “Lost & Jealous” which channels the alternative/soul vibe of Frank Ocean. Our personal favorite is “Gotham City,” which is a haunting ballad that showcases Drew’s vocal, production chops, and lyrical pen. An independent artist as of now, but with projects like this, we don’t see that aspect of his career lasting too much longer. Check out the Places I’ve Ever Been EP below.
