When we heard that Kendrick Lamar had a feature on Eminem’s new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, we quietly spazzed because, well Kendrick has been annihilating everyone in the rap game one by one throughout the last year. So we were interested in seeing if he’d finally met his match. But the song, “Love Game” is so far from what we were expecting from the pair. It’s very Beastie Boys, very uptempo, very young, rock, and slick; it’s not the aggressive, murderous record we wanted. But the two still get busy over the Rick Rubin beat, don’t get it twisted.
