Discover Music

2015 is already proving to be a great year for music. With record breaking releases within Hip-Hop, chart-topping #1 singles and strong releases from many of musics’ rising stars. Music bloggers everywhere have plenty to talk about and Dope Avenue has a new group well worth adding to the conversation about rising artists. They are James Davis, an L.A. native Soul group comprised of twins Jess (Vocals/guitar) and Rey (Vocals), and their younger brother Auston Reynolds (Vocals/Keyboard). Together this sibling collaborative has been creating notable buzz with features from FADER, Rolling Stone and Vice, all raving about their chemistry and progressive soul sound.

With the release of their self-titled debut EP approaching this spring, the Motown Records-signed trio dropped two tracks “Better Than You Are” and “Co-Pilot”. Both cuts may be different, but are so interestingly rich in sound and appraoch. “Better Than You Are” is an indie-soul ballad that we absolutely love, while “Co-Pilot” presents a progressive approach to finding that special someone who just relieves your stress and just vibes with you.

Both songs will be featured on James Davis’ (actually a family name) debut EP due out this Spring but you can check out the visuals to both after the jump:
