Kendrick Lamar Talks Childhood, Being Sober + performs on ‘The Arsenio Hall Show’

Recently, Arsenio Hall has returned to late night TV after about a 20 year hiatus, to revive his late night talk show ‘The Arsenio Hall Show.’ What we love about the show, is much like Monique’s now-cancelled BET talk show, Arsenio is getting the chance to bring black celebrities to the mainstream; the same black celebrities who you’d never see get interviewed by a Jimmy Kimmel or David Letterman. Last night, Kendrick Lamar stopped by to not only perform, but to also sit down with Arsenio for a really in-depth talk about his life growing up in Compton, his Black Hippy Movement, being sober, and of course, “Control.” Check out the interview, and Kendrick’s performances of “m.A.A.d City” and “Collard Greens” feat.
