Lupita Nyong’o, Jared Leto, Matthew McConaughey Win Big at The Oscar’s

Last night, the 86th annual Academy Awards were held in Los Angeles, California. There was huge buzz around this year’s show, with A-list musical performances from Pharrell, Pink, and Idina Menzel, and highly anticipated movies like ‘Wolf of Wall Street’, ‘Frozen’, and ’12 Years a Slave’ being nominated. Black actress Lupita Nyong’o, who has been the “it” girl of this Hollywood award season took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in ’12 Years a Slave.’ It was an amazing moment for everyone watching. Congratulations to all 3 actors! Also, ’12 Years a Slave’ took home the award for Best Picture, beating out every highly-rated movie of the past year, and becoming the first movie to ever be directed by a black director to win the honor. Congratulations to director Steve McQueen and producer Brad Pitt!
