On top of the news of a new Justin Timberlake single coming on Monday, we were treated to that absolutely amazing GQ spread by the World’s Sexiest Woman, Beyonce. And now, on top of that, it’s been announced on Beyonce’s website that Destiny’s Child WILL be reuniting in 2013.
Destiny’s Child will be releasing a compilation album at the end of the month (Jan. 29th), entitled Love Songs. “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years!” wrote Beyoncé on her website.
The compilation is comprised of music from the group’s catalog spanning between 1997 and 2004, and also includes “Nuclear,” the first new Destiny’s Child recording since 2004. Produced by Pharrell (who co-wrote the track with Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy, and Lonny Bereal), “Nuclear” features vocal production by Beyoncé and Bereal.
Now granted, this isn’t the full-fledged comeback album we were hoping for, but it’s a huge step in the right direction. Also, with the compilation dropping 4 days before the Super Bowl, and there being a new song on there, don’t be surprised if Kelly & Michelle join Bey on stage on February 3rd. We told you so.
