HS87’s newest R&B Singer, Preston Harris, has just dropped his debut project entitled Love Crazy EP, with production from hit-maker/ super producer Hit-Boy. The 7-track EP, provides it’s own progressive spin on R&B, while resting in a place of the love, feeling, and emotion that is traditionally embodied within this genre. Billboard premiered the project yesterday, and the R&B crooner named the need to talk about love within mainstream music, as one of the influential messages behind his debut effort.
“I want to hear love songs again on mixtapes and the radio,” Harris says. “Love isn’t corny. It can still be fresh and dope.”
With this strong debut release, inclusive of great songwriting, vocals and production, I’m sure we will be hearing more from Preston Harris in the future. Listening to Love Crazy is aesthetically excellent in it’s own right, as we can’t help but let our minds run free at the possibility of a James Fauntleroy collaboration– how dope would that be?! Honestly, this is just some wishful thinking on our part, as their sounds could possibly complement each other flawlessly.
