Rihanna Navy, it’s finally coming. After three long years of waiting (which is like 10 years in Rihanna-time), Rihanna held a special art gallery event tonight, where she unveiled the cover of her upcoming 8th studio album. The cover is inspired by her first ever day of daycare back in Barbados, and uses an actual family photo of Rih (one that has been her mother’s favorite over the years. It has been distorted and painted over in red and white by artist Roy Nachum, and features a poem that was written by young black poet Chloe Mitchell, in braille. The album is also confirmed to be called ‘Anti‘.
“I fell in love with it because I felt like there was another spirit, another layer to the art. Somtimes the ones who have sight are the blindest. This is my favorite album cover I’ve ever done.”
